USA: Various Directors, 2001-2002 (Created by J. J. Abrams)I certainly enjoyed this first season of ALIAS and I am pleased I took the time to sit down and watch it. Jennifer Garner is very engaging with real screen presence. However, I must say that the show does straddle the fence of action-drama and plain nonsense. The 'Rambaldi' storyline is central to this whole season and I did find the more science-fiction inspired plotting at a jar with the more 24-lite espionage and action sequences. Anyway, it pack enough easily digestible and silly entertainment for me to commit to watching the next season.
