USA: Various Directors, 2007 (Created by Matthew Weiner)After what felt like ages, I've completed my screenings of MAD MEN - Season One. The production design of this show is authentically immaculate. However, for me it was a real case of style of substance until well over half-way through as I was left wondering what all the fuss was about after a few shows in. But I'm glad I stuck with it as the finale had me totally hooked. So yes a slow burner but ultimately a rewarding one with a great script and fine performances throughout.
