IT TAKES TWO... TO KILL THE INFECTED!
I've wanted to play the main campaign of a game using online co-op for a while now and having recently picked up a Headset, I decided to place an order for Resident Evil 5 on PS3 from Amazon UK. Believe it or not, I have never played a 'Resident Evil' game so I'm taking a bit of a gamble but I've been told the co-op play is excellent. If you have played through the game in co-op let me know your thoughts?

GODS & MONSTERS
As I've been enjoying a bit of the old blood n' gruel, hack n' slash style in the infernal romp Dante's Inferno of late, I decided to treat myself to the critically acclaimed God of War: Collection and placed an order with Amazon UK.From what I understand Dante's Inferno borrows heavily from this supposedly superior franchise in terms of game-play mechanics and with its backdrop of Greek Mythology, God of War should hold enormous fun for me. Thought I'd start at the beginning with parts 1 and 2 and then play through the new shiny God of War III later in the year.

PURGATORY AWAITS BUT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE

I was delighted to receive DANTE'S INFERNO for PS3 in the post today courtesy of boomerang. I had been expecting MOTORSTORM: PACIFIC RIFT but after waiting over a week for this to turn up it has been classified as lost. This could have taken away all my enthusiasm for renting videogames as, inclusive of my free trial, I've only previous rented one game from boomerang. However, I must congratulate boomerang on their excellent customer service, especially Jemma who runs their twitter feed @boomeranggames. Jemma was friendly and professional throughout and arranged for another game to be sent out to me ASAP. It really does make a huge difference to receive quality customer service and as a result I'll be sticking with boomerang for the foreseeable future.

DRIVE BEFORE YOU BUY!
I got an email from Boomerang saying they are sending me MOTORSTORM: Pacific Rift. Really happy with the quick turnaround but slightly disappointed to only get my 10th choice game next. I hope this isn't always going to be the case as I had included older games in my top ten and all but one (yellow) had green availability which I had assumed meant their was a good chance of getting it.Anyways, if anyone has MOTORSTORM: Pacific Rift and fancies an online race let me know.

VIDEO GAME RENTALS
Sent back Lost: The video game to boomerang yesterday and got an email today to say they received it. Hopefully, my next game will be dispatched today, if so that is a very impressive turnaround. Today is the last day of 21 day free trial and whilst other diversions (World Cup mainly) has meant I only rented one game during that time and in truth I barely played Lost: The video game, I'm going to upgrade to the monthly membership (1 game per month for about £3-£3.50) and try out some other games in the coming months. In regards to Lost: The video game, I thought this game captured some of the TV Show's mood and atmosphere but I didn't really find the time or feel compelled to play it for very long. I also thought the controls were quite clunky and the game environments a little 'buggy'. The lack of trophies was also a slight disappointment but I realise this is an old game. Might re-rent it another time but want to try some other games such as Battlefield Bad Company 2, Dante's Inferno/God of War and Super Street Fighter IV first.
What have other people been renting lately?

GAMING GUILTY PLEASURE
I've recently taken out a free 21-day trial with Boomerang as there is just too many games that pass me by and a wallet that can't afford to buy 2, 3 games a month when the quality/enjoyment factor is unknown. Plus often I just want to try a game before I commit the £30, £40 to purchase it, having got plenty of rarely played games gathering dust on my shelf.I wanted to know if anyone out there have had experience with this company or another like it and what their thoughts are on game rentals (cost effective, waste of money, good service/bad service etc). Please feel free to also add recommendations for games I should check out both old and new.
I've really indulged myself with the 'guilty pleasure' of a TV tie-in title as my first rental - LOST: The Video Game! Hey, I'm currently working my way through the show and thought as it's free let's take a risk, lol!

THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED
I completed ROCK BAND 2 on the Wii today. By completed, I mean saw the end credits roll but looking at the gigs I've unlocked there's still plenty of content to play through. Great game.

MYSTERY SOLVED!
I've finally completed the quite excellent Professor Layton and the Curious Village. For my money this is the pinnacle of gaming offered on Nintendo DS. Really looking forward to the forthcoming sequel due for release next month.

Wii Sports Resort - High Scores - Wakeboarding

Wii Sports Resort - High Scores - Cycling
Event: Cycling
Game Mode: Road Race - 1st Stage - Around The Island
Score: 2:30.66
Comments: Another event I've yet to really sit down and play but having read some negative comments about this sport, I'd say it isn't terrible. Instead of proper Wii Motion Plus controls it feels more akin to the gestures used for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. I'm a fan of that game so no complaints from me.
