I completed ROCK BAND 2 on the Wii today. By completed, I mean saw the end credits roll but looking at the gigs I've unlocked there's still plenty of content to play through. Great game.

Comments: Yes, I shoot to the top of the leader boards and lay claim to best Wii Sports Resort Basketball player in our house!

Comments: Eat my circular disc of plastic one and all!

Comments: People are getting over 3,000 on this event (Colin and Jack I'm talking about you) I must be doing something wrong! Good to finally beat the missus at something though, lol!

Score: 198.9Comments: Reminiscent of Wave Race 64 and all the better for it. Controls are excellent.

Wii Sports Resort - High Scores - Cycling

Comments: Another event I've yet to really sit down and play but having read some negative comments about this sport, I'd say it isn't terrible. Instead of proper Wii Motion Plus controls it feels more akin to the gestures used for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. I'm a fan of that game so no complaints from me.

Comments: Only had a few goes at this one so far. Great fun!

Wii Sports Resort - High Scores - Basketball

Comments: Basketball is another event masterfully implemented in Wii Sports Resort. Easy to play but incredibly challenging to perfect. Again, this is an event in Wii Sports Resort in which my better half can beat me. At present she even tops the rankings over at the WiiDS Leaderboards. Ouch!

I've put in a few more hours with the game now and have some other high scores to announce.

Comments: Archery is another highlight of Wii Sports Resort and with a pleasingly tactile feel when performing the motions. As you can see I'm not even the best Wii Sports Resort Archer in my house let alone the WiiDS forums.

Wii Sports Resort - High Scores Rankings

Since picking up Wii Sports Resort a couple of weeks ago, it has become the game I play the most on Wii. I've already had some memorable moments playing with family and friends - the game is going to be a riot come Christmas time!

For a bit of fun and to provide a challenge single-player wise, I am going to a keep note of my high scores in several of the events. Hopefully, this will inspire me to keep plugging away at the game to better my performance. Naturally, this also opens the door for others to post their high scores as a further way in which to prolong the enjoyment of this fantastic game.

Event: Wakeboarding
Difficulty: Beginner
High Score: 1315Comments: Not one of my preferred event if I'm honest. There just doesn't seem to be that much to it and the controls are hit and miss for me. Plus it doesn't do much for your confidence when the girlfriend sets a seemingly unbeatable high score on her second go of the game. More practice needed.

Event: Dog Frisbee
Difficulty: Beginner (Manual Throwing Style)
Score: 1000Comments: Dog Frisbee may appear quite shallow on first glance but it is one of the most accurate and rewarding event in Wii Sports Resort. The Wii Motion Control support is obvious and it is truly immersive as it makes you feel like you really are in control of the frisbee. The dogs are really cute too.

I'll be updating my high scores for other applicable events and providing more photos in the future.

ON YOUR FEET SOLDIER!

Having identified this title as one for me to watch from the earliest days of picking up my Wii, I've finally bitten the bullet (excuse the pun) and bought MEDAL OF HONOR: HEROES 2. I'm not expecting it to be the best game ever but fancied a bit of WW 2 FPS action having recently rekindled my interest in the shooter genre with the brilliant THE CONDUIT. I managed to bag it for a bargain on eBay to boot.

Let the Nazi killing begin!
